Web Site of Uttara Bank Limited
Web site of Uttara Bank Limited is much more informative but some links do not work. Such as, online banking, ATMs, card services, locker services etc .This bank should introduce these services and activate these links as soon as possible.
Software of Uttara Bank Limited
Uttara Bank Limited does not use any own made or purchased software to provide prompt services to the customers. But most of the commercial banks use software where they manage their customers’ accounts easily, accurately and automatically. At this competitive situation, Uttara Bank Limited should purchase any software. Such as, PC Bank 2000. It will accelerate this bank’s services and help the bank to grow its market share and get high relative competitive position.
Online Banking in Uttara Bank Limited
Uttara Bank Limited does not give online banking facility considering its huge number of branches (207)surrounded all over the country .But, most of the commercial banks give online banking facility in spite of having more branches. So, Uttara Bank Limited should introduce online banking facility as early as possible to give prompt service and compete with other banks.
Deficiencies Considering Online Banking
Online banking means the performance of banking activities via the Internet. Uttara Bank Limited does not give online banking facility .So, it has following deficiencies considering online banking services:
1. Paying Bills Online:
Customers can use online banking to pay their bills. This will eliminate the need for stamps and protect them from the check being lost in the mail. Most banks will have a section in which they set up payees. Customers will need to fill out the information once, and then they can simply choose that profile every time they pay a bill online. Uttara Bank Limited does not give this service preferring manually paying the bills (gas, electric, water, cable, phone, and other utility-type bills).
2. Viewing Transactions:
Online banking allows customers to access their account history and transactions from anywhere. This is the quickest way to check and see if a transaction has cleared account. This can help customers to find out the amount of a transaction after they have lost their receipts. It also allows finding out about unauthorized transactions more quickly. This can help customers to resolve the issues more quickly. Uttara Bank Limited does not give this service.
3. Transferring Money between Accounts:
Online banking also allows customers to transfer money between accounts much more quickly. It is more convenient than using the automated phone service, and can save customer a trip to the bank. Uttara Bank Limited does not give this service.
5. Continuous Transactions:
Unlike customer corner bank, online banking sites never close; they’re available 24 hours a day, seven days a week and they’re only a mouse click away which is not possible for Uttara Bank Limited.
6. Ubiquity:
If customers are out of state or even out of the country when a money problem arises, they can log on instantly to their online bank and take care of business; 24/7.Uttara Bank Limited does not have this facility.
7. Transaction speed:
Online bank sites generally execute and confirm transactions at or quicker than ATM processing speeds. So, Uttara Bank Limited has transaction speed for its manual banking system.
8. Effectiveness:
Many online banking sites now offer sophisticated tools, including account aggregation, stock quotes, rate alerts and portfolio managing programs to help customers manage all of their assets more effectively. Most are also compatible with money managing programs such as Quicken and Microsoft Money. So, Uttara Bank Limited is backward from these modern services.
So, Uttara Bank Limited should save time and money by taking advantages of online banking. It must need to introduce online banking to compete with other banks effectively and efficiently.

Query of Employee
As tables grow in size they can have hundreds of thousands of records, which makes it impossible for the user to pick out specific records from that table. Queries were designed to combat this problem. With a query we can apply a filter to the table’s data, so that we only get the information that we want. We have created query on employee table of Uttara Bank Limited, Shyamoli Branch, and Dhaka. . This query can be run by the help of fields such as Employee ID, Designation, Mobile Phone, Address, Country/Region etc.
| Query of Employee | ||||||
| E- ID | Employee Name | Age | Designation | Mobile Phone | Address | Country/Region |
| 12 | Ms. Sanwa Khandaher | 29 | A/O (Gen) | 01722457865 | Bagum Bazar, Dhaka. | Bangladesh |
Form of Employee
A form is nothing more than a graphical representation of a table. We can add, update and delete records in our table by using a form. Although a form can be named different from a table, they both still manipulate the same information and the same exact data. Hence, if we change a record in a form, it will be changed in the table also. A form is very good to use when we have numerous fields in a table. This way we can see all the fields in one screen, whereas if we were in the table view (datasheet) we would have to keep scrolling to get the field we desire. We have created form of employee table.
