Adoption of a Son by a Hindu Widow

THIS DEED OF ADOPTION is made this . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . day of . . . . . . . . . , 20. . . . . . BETWEEN Smt A.B., aged. . . . . . years, widow of the late L.M., resident of . . . . . . . .  . . . . . . . , (hereinafter called the Adoptive Mother) AND E.F., aged . . . . . . . . years, son of . . . . . , resident of . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . , (hereinafter called the Natural Father).

WHEREAS the Adoptive Mother is a widow having no son or son’s son or son’s son’s son living at this time;

WHEREAS the Adoptive Mother is desirous of taking a son in adoption;

WHEREAS the Natural Father has agreed to give his son M.N.,
aged . . . .years in adoption to the Adoptive Mother;

WHEREAS Smt R.S., the wife of the Natural Father, has given her consent to the giving of her son the said M.N. in adoption to the Adoptive Father;

AND WHEREAS the Adoptive Mother is more than 21 years older than the said M.N.;

NOW, THEREFORE, THIS, DEED WITNESSES that before a select gathering of friends and relations at . . . . . . . . . (place) at. . . . (time) this day above-mentioned the said Natural Father has actually given his son the said M.N. in adoption to the said Adoptive Mother and the said Adoptive Mother has taken the said M.N. as her adopted son and that on adoption the adopted son was renamed T.M.
