Co-operative Societies Act [XLVII of 2001]
Section 83(1)—If the Registrar is satisfied on the basis of an audit report under section 46 or from an inquiry report under section 49 that any member of the Managing Committee or any member or employee of a Co-operative Society intentionally makes any payment in violation of the Act or misappropriates any money, the Registrar shall hold an enquiry in that regard.
