Section—8(a)

Section 8(a)
of the Criminal Law Amendment (Amendment) Act (XIII of 1987) very much applies
to this case. The

proceedings
of the instant case before the learned Divisional Special Judge having not been
concluded within the statutory period of 2 years from the date of commencement
of the said Act, further proceeding of the case are liable to be stopped and
the accused petitioner released.
