THIS DEED OF SETTLEMENT is made by me, A.B., aged . . . . years, son of . . . . . . . . . ., resident of . . . . . . ., this the  . . . . . . . day of . . . . . . . . . in the year, 20 . . . . . . .

WHEREAS I have attained the age of . . . . . . . years, and life is uncertain and it is proper for all persons to make adequate provision for the disposal of their property;

AND WHEREAS I have no child, male or female, living or born to me. I therefore in consideration of religious benefit and other good causes and consideration moving me have erected a temple in Mohalla . . . . . . ., in the city of . . . . . . ., dedicated to the worship of Shri Hanumanji Maharaj;

AND WHEREAS I have been during my lifetime paying regularly all sums required for the daily worship of the said deity and the performance of due ceremonies during all customary festivals;

AND WHEREAS I desire to make an endowment of the properties more fully described in the Schedule hereto so that out of the profits and income of the said properties the said temple may be maintained and the daily worship continued together with all customary ceremonies performed during festivals in the manner in which I have hitherto been doing.

NOW, THEREFORE, THIS DEED WITNESSES, that pursuant to the above desire, I , the said A.B., do hereby grant, dedicate and hand over ALL THAT property comprising houses, shops and lands situate in Mohalla . . . . . . . and affronting the . . . . . . . Road in the city of . . . . . . . . . ., more fully described in the Schedule hereto UNTO AND TO THE USE of Shri Hanumanji Maharaj absolutely and for ever, free of all encumbrances, whatsoever in the manner hereafter contained and I do hereby constitute, appoint and nominate Shri . . . . . . . of . . . . . . . ., Shri . . . . . . . of . . . . . . ., and Shri . . . . . . .of . . . . . . ., to carry out the trust herein imposed in the manner herein written.

The said Shri . . . . . . ., and Shri  . . . . . . ., and Shri . . . . . . ., shall during  my lifetime manage and exercise all the powers and duties imposed upon trustees under the Trusts Act with the stipulation that in all matters where the consent or permission of the District Judge is required the said Trustees shall take my consent or permission and after my death the said Trustees shall manage and conduct themselves in conformity with the law for the time being current in this behalf.

In case of any vacancy arising in the body of the Trustees it shall be open to the surviving trustee or trustees to elect and fill in  the vacancy or vacancies by any suitable person: PROVIDED ALWAYS and it is hereby expressly declared that no person shall be elected or nominated a trustee who does not profess the Hindu religion and no person shall continue to act as a trustee who has renounced the Hindu religion. IT IS HEREBY FURTHER DECLARED that the Trustees or the survivor or survivors of these or any other trustee for the time elected or nominated in the manner hereinafter mentioned  shall  stand possessed of the properties hereinafter described in the schedule hereto and hereinbefore dedicated IN TRUST to manage the same to the best advantage, with full power to rent out the same to realise the rents, pay taxes, rates and other outgoings in respect of the same AND to do all other acts, deeds and things as may be  necessary for the realisation, maintenance, protection, benefit and management of the said properties or any fund arising from such properties.

It is hereby declared that the properties hereby dedicated and described in the Schedule hereto are of the aggregate value of
Rs. . . . . . . ., and that the present net annual income of the same (after paying taxes, cesses and other expenses of repairs, etcetera), is Rs. . . . . . . . or thereabout.
