Subsection 2(a) of

Section 20 The definition of the terms ‘Hat’ or ‘Bazar’

The implication of this ordinance is that the Hats and Bazars are subject to acquisition by the Government, irrespective of lands covered by building.

Whether a Debottor Property cannot be acquired After deletion and substitution of the “Explanation” to the Section 3 of the Act by inserting the sub-section 2(a) by the Ordinance No. Xli of 1960, there were, no more, the ‘Exception’ that “land covered by building do not include Hats and Bazars” and as such, there were no bar in law to acquire a Debottor land situated in a Bazar.
