In
this Act an industrial company has been defined as a Company which is mainly
engaged in the manufacturing process of goods. Tea to be offered for sale for
its consumption at home or abroad passes through a manufacturing process.
Therefore, a Tea Garden producing tea for sale comes within the definition of
an industrial company although paddy may be grown in the Tea Garden.

Finance Act,
1999

 

By
the Finance Act 1999, income from a charity has been made taxable. This
indicates that a charitable society can invest its money and profit earned from
