Licence for Temporary Occupation of Rooms in a House

LICENCE is hereby granted by . . . . . . . . . . . to . . . . . . . . . . .to occupy the rooms and accommodation described and detailed in the Schedule hereto in the house known as . . . . . . . . . . . situate at No. . . . . . . . . . . on . . . . . . . . . . . Road, in the city of . . . . . . . . . . . on the following terms and conditions:

1. That the licensee shall pay a fee of Rs . . . . . . . . . . .per day/week/month for such occupation and user strictly in advance, the first payment whereof of Rs . . . . . . . . . . . for the period . . . . . . . . . . . has been made today receipt whereof the licenser hereby acknowledges.

2. That the rooms and accommodation shall be used only for dwelling purposes/business purposes only by the licensee and any other person who may be permitted in writing on an application made by the licensee in this behalf, by licenser or any person appointed by him in this behalf.

3. That the licensee shall keep the rooms and accommodation in a clean and sanitary condition and shall pay the cost of making good any damage thereto, or to adjacent rooms and accommodation caused by negligence or misuser of the premises by the licensee or any person on and in the premises as his guest, visitor, relation or friend. If such costs are not paid by the licensee when demanded in writing by the licenser, the licenser may deduct the same from the refundable security deposited by the licensee with the licenser, mention of which has been made in Paragraph 9 below.

4. That the main gate and entrance to the building shall be closed and locked each day at . . . . . . . . . . . p.m. and reopened each day at . . . . . . . . . . . a.m. and the key kept in custody with the licenser or any person appointed by him in this behalf.

5. That the licensee, if desirous of entering the licensed premises between the hours of . . . . . . . . . . . and . . . . . . . . . . . aforesaid shall have to inform the licenser in writing, who shall thereupon make arrangement for his entry at such hour and time as may be specified in the intimation.

6. That the licenser shall pay all costs of electricity, water, conservancy and all taxes relating to the building.

7. That this licence may be cancelled on the breach of any condition hereinbefore mentioned to be observed and performed by the licensee at the option of the licenser by giving the licensee a written notice of 24 hours.

8. That on the termination of the licence the licensee shall remove his goods in and upon the rooms and accommodation and give the keys of the same to the licenser, who shall refund the security deposit, minus any deductions which may have been made under Paragraph 3 above.

9. That the licensee has deposited by way of security the sum of Rupees . . . . . . . . . . . (Rs . . . . . . . . . . .) only refundable on the expiry or sooner determination of this licence after such deduction as may be permitted under this licence.
