In serving you with the notice under s. 106 of the Indian Railways Act 1989, I hereby call upon the Railway to pay to me within ………… days from the date of receipt of this notice a sum of Rs. ……… as compensation assessed on account of shortage (or loss/deterioration) of goods in the above consignment.
