Whereas I have now sold to X. Y. etc. (or, made a gift to X. Y. etc. of) the house situate at . . . . . . . . which you hold on lease from me, I hereby authorize and request you to forthwith attorn and become tenant of the said X. Y. and henceforth to pay to the said X. Y., his heirs, executors, administrators or assigns all such rent as now is or hereafter shall become due from you in respect of the said premises and for so doing this shall be to you a sufficient warrant and authority.
