13—District Magistrate competent to give direction u/s. 13 of the Police Act.

Under section 13 of the Police Act though it
is for the Inspector General, or any Assistant Inspector General or for the
District Superintendent of Police to depute any additional number of police
officers to keep the peace at any place, yet the District Magistrate is
competent to give general direction to them in this respect.
